APEX K1 Hip System
DESIGN RATIONALE
Inspired by the clinically proven design philosophy of a dual tapered stem geometry, the APEX K1 stem is engineered to provide immediate primary fixation and torsional stability. The K1 is unique in combining the aggressive profile of a rectangular distal cross section with a circumferentially coated proximal body to help prevent migration of potentially lytic particles. The APEX K1 stem represents a proven clinical design with an enhanced metaphyseal geometry and surface properties.

Intraoperative Versatility
The geometry of the K1 stem body is identical to its sister product, the K2 Modular Stem. As a result, the surgeon can switch from the K1 to K2 Modular intraoperatively, without further bone preparation, should patient anatomy dictate a need for independent selection of lateral offset, vertical height or version. - Two offsets are offered for each size, Standard and Lateralized. Standard necks have a 135 degree angle; Lateralized, 130 degrees. For sizes 7 and greater, there is also a LAT + offset, with a 127 degree angle.
