Knee replacements designed to provide stability construct during all daily activity.
The knee is a very demanding joint, as there is pressure during almost every activity, and needs to be stable for the body to move freely. From walking to running, sitting to standing, and everything in between, the APEX Knee™ was built to ensure the pressure can be handled. The human knee moves along a circular plane and is surrounded by supporting muscles and ligaments that need to have the right tension to function. With this in mind, the APEX Knee was built with a circular articular plane, matching the natural movements. The implant's thickness and shape were built to ensure ligament tension and stability.
The only Robotic-Assisted Total Knee Procedure, exclusive to the APEX Knee™ System
OMNIBotics™ is a total knee replacement procedure using a computer navigation system that guides a robotic guide to help the surgeon's accuracy. This system is able to digitally re-create a patient's knee anatomy, and assists the surgeon in planning the joint reconstruction.
The robotic guide is controlled by the computer system to help the surgeon make his bone cuts according to the plan. Increasing surgical accuracy helps promote the overall function and longevity of the knee replacement. Exclusive to the APEX Knee, the OMNIBotics Total Knee procedure provides patients with the latest in total knee replacement technology.
Knee Implants Designed For You
APEX Knee™ sizing range takes into account to the population, male and female.
When designing the APEX Knee, care was taken to best capture the range of human anatomy. After conducting an intra-operative study of patients with various profiles and indications, the APEX Knee was designed to provide best fit to these patients. For the patients in between the standard sizes, intermediate sizing is available. The implants are asymmetric, meaning there are different implants for left and right knees, in order to address the difference in anatomic features.
